“Who is that?” Toya asked as G read a text message and placed the phone face down on the couch. He’d just spent the last hour packing up heroin, and now he was placing it inside his MCM backpack. Toya was curled up on the couch eating fruit and watching a movie. She never questioned G about who was calling or texting him, but this was the third message that he’d read, and ignored.
“Lexi.” He said without even turning to look at her.
“So what’s up with you two?” Toya wanted to know.
They hadn’t discussed being in a relationship, but they were together every day. She had keys to his house, and he had a key to hers. If he was going to be seeing other women she wanted to know because she certainly wouldn’t be having unprotected sex with him while she was pregnant.
“Nothing. I haven’t talked to her since that night.”
“Soooo she’s texting you repeatedly even though you’re ignoring her?” Toya asked skeptically.
G picked up his phone unlocked it, and showed Toya the text thread.
Lexi: G we need to talk. I don’t think it’s cool how you just left me hanging.
Geranimo??? I love you.
Wow. I guess she won huh?
“I can understand the reason why a lot of females have trust issues, but don’t carry me like that. I’m not them other niggas. If I tell you something believe it. I might be young, but I’m just not interested in playing games with mad women. I don’t have the time or patience for that shit.” G spoke sincerely to Toya.
“I’m sorry.” G hadn’t given her a reason to doubt him, and she didn’t want to start being a nag.
“I don’t want nobody but yo fat ass.” G teased and pulled Toya onto his lap. All the weight she seemed to be gaining was going to her ass and thighs and while G loved it, in Toya’s eyes she looked like a whale.
“Fuck you.” Toya laughed as G lifted her shirt in the back and rubbed his hands up and down her spine.
“I think I am going to talk to her though. I mean she’s gon’ be mad regardless, but I’m gon’ tell her that I want to be with you, and apologize for making her feel some type of way.”
Toya didn’t say anything she just gave him a half smile. He was nothing like his brother, and that’s what she loved about him. Rugga could care less about anyone’s feelings. G was the opposite. He was sensitive, and caring without being a punk. The balance was great and it turned her on more, and more every day. He’d been very attentive since they’d started backing dealing with each other and he made it more than obvious that he was excited about the baby. He paid off her car, and texted her all throughout the day while she was at work in an effort to make sure she wasn’t doing too much.
Toya kissed him and he wrapped his arms around her waist enjoying the flavor of the fruit on her tongue.
